• To match you with relevant job opportunities using AI
• To auto-generate cover letters and resume suggestions
• To send job alert emails and application status notifications
• To improve our AI matching and screening algorithms
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To provide customer support

3. AI Processing

Your resume and profile data may be processed by AI systems (including third-party AI APIs) to generate match scores, cover letters, and career advice. We do not use your personal data to train external AI models.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in these cases:

• Employers: Your profile/resume is shared with employers when you apply to their jobs
• Payment processors: Stripe processes payments; we do not store card details
• Service providers: Email delivery, cloud hosting, AI API providers — all under data processing agreements
• Legal: If required by law or to protect platform integrity

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is purged within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it.

6. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information via your profile
• Deletion: Delete your account from Settings → Privacy
• Portability: Export your profile data on request
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (only with your consent) to understand how the platform is used and improve it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Applywise is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately.
